The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many of the ways in which we can come together as a community to support each other. This year, we are proud to sponsor Family Promise’s virtual Fiesta on Flagler event, which raises money for Family Promise’s mission of ending the crisis of child homelessness in Palm Beach county. 

Family Promise is a nonprofit organization with 180 affiliates nationwide that provides services such as transportation, meals, and temporary shelter for families experiencing homelessness so that they can regain self-sufficiency. This year, Family Promise had to get creative with how they would present Fiesta on Flagler, keeping in mind uncertainties due to the pandemic. The March 12 virtual event allowed Fiesta-goers to celebrate from the comfort of their own home and included Latin music, dance performances, and a take-away goodie bag filled with items donated from the various sponsors of the event. To stage the live recording and event production, Family Promise turned to Flagler Banyan Square, ideal for its proximity to downtown West Palm Beach and its stunning rooftop overlooking the waterfront. 

“For many years now, Navarro Lowrey and I personally have supported Family Promise NCPBC in its mission to help local children experiencing homelessness by empowering their families to regain their self-sufficiency,” said Frank Navarro, Managing Principal at Navarro Lowrey. “This year, with a pandemic continuing to affect the means in which important causes like Family Promise can be financially supported by our community, we are making Flagler Banyan Square’s ‘Rooftop Flagler’ (www.flaglerbanyansquarewpb.com/events) available for ‘Fiesta on Flagler.’ Hopefully, in a small way, we can help Family Promise change the lives of local children for the better.” 

All proceeds from ticket sales went to further Family Promise’s mission to provide services for families experiencing homelessness. We are proud to have been able to support such an important cause and further strengthen our community. Flagler Banyan Square’s Rooftop Flagler and events lawn, “the Square,” are the perfect setting for a variety of events from weddings and holiday parties, to nonprofit fundraisers.
